Brad Amlin, CFP
Insurance & Retirement Specialist
Brad is the master planner: informed on industry and government changes; committed to the value financial planning provides his clients. He's focused on delivering superior customer service, high end financial plans, and sound insurance and investment advice. His ongoing investment in staff and infrastructure reinforce his goal to be the most client friendly financial planning firm in Canada.
Brad started his financial services career at a large multinational insurance company in 1997. Working closely with other advisors, he developed the skills and earned the designations that are the basis of his knowledge and experience in financial planning.
In 2001 Brad joined Marlatt Insurance Agencies as Peter Marlatt's associate; in 2003 he became the owner along with his wife Heather.
Peter Marlatt, CFP, CLU, CH.F.C, EPC
Founder
As the founder of Marlatt Insurance, Peter has built a business of long and lasting client relationships through good customer service and solid financial planning.
In the over 45 years that Peter has been part of the financial services industry he has made his mark in both group and individual sales: many of his clients have been with him for 30 years or more. Peter's attention to detail and respect for his clients have built the business you see today.
Peter is actively involved in the Oakville community as a Rotarian and as a loyal contributor to many local charities.
Terry Townson, CFP
Risk Products Specialist
Terry brings with her a wealth of information and expertise. Her financial services career began in 1986 when she joined her father Bud Townson of Townson & Co. After many years of sales and education on both the money and insurance side, Terry became the president of Townson & Co. in 2001 as well as achieving the prestigious designation of the Certified Financial Planner in 2003. Terry joined Marlatt in June of 2008 and is focused on helping clients achieve their life goals through sound financial planning and being adequately insured for all types of risks.
William Ronald (Ron) Lawrence, CFP
Para-planner
Ron is a dream weaver. When the planning file is given to Ron he looks at your short and long term goals, your current situation and your estimated financial outlook. Then he develops a comprehensive report that examines your ability to achieve your goals. He looks for weaknesses or risks that could prevent you from meeting your objective and he develops strategies to ensure your dreams are fulfilled.
Ron is a University of Toronto graduate in math. He has over 35 years experience in insurance and finance. His career roles include underwriter, claims adjuster, risk manager, insurance broker, corporate secretary, company officer and director and community college instructor. Ron joined Marlatt in 2005.
Seija Bokalo
Administrative Assistant
After 25 years at both the branch and head office level of a major Canadian insurance company Seija's wish was to work in a smaller office. She came to Marlatt in late 2001 and has never looked back!
Seija manages all the administrative details that keep Marlatt moving. She assists in implementing investment changes and processing product sales. Seija values her personal contact with clients. She's happy to answer any administrative questions about your investment accounts.
Lore Fat
Group and Insurance Assistant
Lore is a multitasking powerhouse. Responsible for death claims, life, critical illness, disability and long-term care insurance, she looks after all Group Life and Health, Group RRSP and Pension accounts. She also helps as needed with the administration of investment accounts. A year after emigrating from Romania to Canada in 2003, Lore entered the financial services business and has never looked back. Her strong knowledge of Marlatt products and processes, and a passion for the profession, ensure that you receive impeccable service.
Heather Amlin
Operations Manager
Heather oversees all Marlatt's staff and client relations, and back office administration. Her goal, to "keep clients for life" is met by getting to know clients on a personal level, maintaining contact throughout the year and dealing with any needs, issues or suggestions.
Heather began her financial services career when she joined Peter Marlatt's downtown Toronto practice in July 2000. By December that year Peter moved his practice to Oakville and on October 1, 2003, Heather and Brad became joint owners of Marlatt.
